Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge Replacement

BDB Bridge supplied the Hydra-Tower System on the Route 7 Wittpenn Bridge Replacement Project. We supported Union Paving & Construction Company on Contract 2, which focused on the bridge approach spans in Jersey City, New Jersey.

This project consisted of 122 girder segments. Our towers were used to land girder segments, minimizing the number of cranes needed to splice segments together. At times, the towers were on rollers transverse to the girder spans. This allowed the towers to be rolled from one location to another, minimizing the number of towers required.
